Sanchit Khurana — Software Engineer

Graduating from NIT Kurukshetra in 2023 as an engineer at heart, I thrive on brainstorming solutions to challenging problems and crafting simple yet innovative ways to solve them. From a young age, building and creating have always excited me, fueling my passion for learning and applying new skills regularly. My journey into software development began with a curiosity for building cross-platform mobile applications. During my early college days, I taught myself UI development in React Native. This passion grew as I collaborated with my peers to develop mobile applications in Java and Flutter. In my 3rd year, I applied these skills to solve real-world problems, working on a freelance project for a construction-based startup. I later honed my expertise further as a summer intern at D.E. Shaw in 2022. Being from an Electronics academic background, I’ve always been captivated by fields like Digital Image Processing, sensor systems, microcontrollers, embedded systems, and deep learning. I’ve worked on a variety of exciting projects, including my major and minor college projects, and showcased some of these at various tech competitions. I also find great joy in teaching and sharing knowledge. As a member (and later secretary) of the Embedded Systems and Robotics Club, I organized and led workshops, projects, events, and competitions. I really take pleasure in breaking down complex technical concepts in an intuitive and engaging manner. I enjoyed leading and managing this club and inspiring my juniors to learn new skills, apply those creatively in useful and exciting projects. Currently, I’m a Senior Software Developer at D.E. Shaw, where I design and develop tools and dashboards to streamline financial analytics, enhance operational efficiency, and boost traders’ productivity.
