• The Filmic Eye is a film education initiative, content distributor, independent producer and project consultant. Since its inception in 2013, TFE has organised film screenings, workshops and seminar talks in public libraries, schools and community centres to promote film literacy and appreciation.

• Theatrical distribution of the Golden Horse-winning eco-documentary ‘Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from Above’, which has a successful four week theatrical run at Cathay Cineplexes, a huge success in Singapore for a Chinese-language documentary feature.
• Executive produced 15 short films commissioned by the National Arts Council for Utter 2015- 2017 and Silver Arts Festival 2016 - 2018, working with renowned SG filmmakers such as K Rajagopal, Lee Thean-jeen, Jerrold Chong, Tan Wei Keong, the Zhuang brothers, Ler Jiyuan, Ray Pang, Sufyan Sam’an and Yee Chang Kang. Many of the commisioned short films have been selected in competition at prestigious festivals such as Annecy International Animation Festival (The Great Escape by Tan Wei Keong), Animafest Zagreb (The Tiger of 142B by Harry & Henry Zhuang), and Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (The Drum by Ler Jiyuan).
• Organising “Our Animation Journey” workshops in collaboration with the LASALLE College of the Arts (Animation) as part of the Community Arts Project for seniors and youths under the Silver Arts Festival.

Working closely with the major exhibition partners and co-distribution partners in Singapore, David has handled over 30 theatrical marketing campaigns. Highlights include working with Raintree Pictures and Golden Village Pictures for Kelvin Tong's IT''S A GREAT GREAT WORLD, the top grossing local feature of 2011 with over $2.5 million in box office, and co-distributing English theatrical titles such as THE NEXT THREE DAYS (starring Russell Crowe), ADELE:RISE OF THE MUMMY (directed by Luc Besson), THE GREY (Liam Neeson), KILLER ELITE (Jason Statham, Robert De Niro) and ONE FOR THE MONEY (Katherine Heigl). David also supported theatrical releases in regional Malaysia and Indonesia offices, liasing with film licensors and exhibitors in Indonesia (Blitz Megaplex) and Malaysia (TGV, GSC).
• David supported the marketing for Home Video releases of several Singaporean feature films, such as the award winning SANDCASTLE (directorial debut of Boo Junfeng), WHEN HAINAN MEETS TEOCHEW (Han Yew Kwang), FOREVER (Wee Li Lin), THE ULTIMATE WINNER (directorial debut of Li Nanxing), and FAIRY TALES (Kelvin Sng).

• Held in Singapore in June 2010, GCCCE is an annual major conference for researchers and educators around the globe who are interested in the utilization of InfoComm Technology (ICT) in Education.
• Handling the overall event management, hospitality, volunteers & staff training, publicity and conference administration, the 14th edition of the conference turned out to be one of the best attended, with over 460 teachers and academics from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and North America congregating in Singapore together with local participants, resulting in a healthy financial surplus for the Conference organisers.

• Singapore's premiere animation festival, showcasing the best and most cutting edge animated films from around the world. As Festival Manager, David assisted the Festival Director in programming and dealing with rights licensing and materials delivery. He also sourced for funding & sponsorships, and strategic partnerships to support and help market the festival. David also handled press publicity, ticketing and overall event management. The 2009 edition resulted in sold out screenings and Singapore premieres of films such as Waltz with Bashir (Golden Globe Winner & Oscar Nominated), Mary & Max, and The Secret of Kells (Oscar nominated for Best Animation).

• Project management of the short animation grant sponsored by MDA to support the making of independent short animations in Singapore. Oversee the selection process of the submitted projects, liaise with MDA for funds disbursement, and engaging the animators on the projects already in production for their progress updates and timely delivery.

• David was the first film programmer at Singapore’s premier independent cinema dedicated to screening Singaporean and Asian films. Highlights include starting and programming the Sinema Showoff short films series, Cathay Classics (including the screening of Lion City, the first Chinese language movie shot in Singapore), and contemporary local feature films such as Singapore Dreaming, 12 Storeys, Lucky 7, Teenage Textbook The Movie, etc. Filmmakers are invited on a regular basis for post screening discussions and seminars to engage and educate the audience, so as to help cultivate audience interest in Singaporean and Asian content.
• Content acquisitions, negotiated screening deals with filmmakers and licensors.
• Handled marketing and publicity of the films and the venue.
• In charge of events management, venue hire and general operations of the cinema.
