I have keen interest in the field of Linux Device Drivers. I have been part of teams that have designed Ethernet drivers for Industrial network cards, implemented DDOS mitigation, added features like eBPF to the ethernet PCI driver, and worked with VLAN intefaces like macvlan and bond. As part of my personal endeavours I have written drivers for sensors devices that use the I2C, UART, SPI and char subsystem of the linux kernel, developed a filesystem recovery program for the ext2 filesystem and a memory allocator and deallocator that can be used in C programs.

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 is a 𝘕𝘗-𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝 phenomenon that mainly deals with the spreading of a contagion in a network. This contagion may be anything from a message in a 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 to virus in a clustered population.
I studied 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 from a 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭𝐲 viewpoint and derived kernels for two graph classes namely 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐬 and 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐬.
Moreover I also designed an 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐦 specially tailored for 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐬 that provides a 𝟐-𝛿 approximation for the above problem.
A 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐱𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧( also called a 𝟎-𝟏 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦) was derived for 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, which may further help in designing Primal-Dual Algorithms.

Student Election Voting System

Provided a User Interface( using 𝐠𝐭𝐤𝟑 in 𝐂) for E-Voting and handled all the votes with the database handling framework 𝐬𝐪𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝟑. The project was written purely in 𝐂 language, along with the database handling and User Interface modules. Had to create libraries and modules to keep the project manageable.
I learnt about 𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 methodology and learnt how to navigate a medium size project in 𝐂 language and use it for tasks like database handling.

Compiling a Minimalistic Linux System

Worked under the guidance of Dr.Sumit Mukherjee and Mr. E.T.Subramaniam to configure a 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐱 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐥 that can be effectively used for embedded systems.
The aim was to reduce the size of the kernel by to less than 𝟏𝟔 𝐌𝐁.
This was done in Ubuntu - 14.04 LTS Linux Distribution.
