A graduate of the Technical University of Denmark, Finlay is an energy expert specializing in the intersection of engineering and artificial intelligence. He began his career at Maersk Oil in subsurface technical roles before progressing to Technology Portfolio Manager. Following the acquisition of Maersk Oil by TotalEnergies, he moved to Pau, where he served as Head of the Platform for Innovation & Technologies in Reservoir Management. Finlay later transitioned into strategic advisory as a Principal Management Consultant at PA Consulting within the Energy & Utilities practice, supporting clients with techno-economic expertise for capital raises and M&A across the wind and hydrogen sectors. Finlay is the Founder of Talos Innovation. Talos are developing a new category of AI architecture designed to accelerate high-fidelity simulation capabilities widely used across the energy sector and other critical industries.
