The extended version: With over 10+ years of experience in software engineering, my journey began in PHP and Python development in 2011, where I started with Codeigniter & Django frameworks. Later on I stumbled upon laravel framework, not to mention that it was love at first sight especially seeing all the features that comes out of the box. Along the way, I delved into the world of DevOps, mastering AWS technologies to design, orchestrate & deploy infrastructure/code which gave me an upper hand in terms of debugging complex web architectures involving numerous moving parts. My primary focus always remains on code quality, i.e. every code I write should not only just work, but also be loosely coupled & highly cohesive in order for it to be maintainable and extensible (without touching existing implementation as much as possible). Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with couple of well known startups. While I can't take sole credit for their successes, being part of impactful projects has been incredibly rewarding. Some of my notable achievements include: 1. Optimising existing Laravel codebase to optimise performance (implementation & database queries), 2. Refactoring huge legacy Laravel codebase to gain loose coupling & easy to write tests, 3. Porting legacy codebase to Laravel framework. 4. Reducing deployment times with modern CI/CD features, 5. Orchestrating seamless migrations to cloud environments. 6. Designing and managing distributed systems. I'm driven by the ethos of "writing robust software as quickly as possible".
