• Responsible for development of various features of Swiggy Android and iOS consumer application which is used by over 50 million people.
• Features I’ve worked on are the following:
• Delivered a critical end-to-end project, integrating IRCTC Train Order flow with the Swiggy app, boosting daily orders by 10,000.
• Developed an in-house solution for Voice Search in the app using SpeechRecognizer by Google.
• Led the redesign of the app's Search Page flow, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Modularized Search Page code, reducing app build time by 11% overall and 38% for Search specifically.
• Collaborated with the Analytics team to reduce the event footprint of the entire Search module by 30% by merging similar events and deprecating unused events.
• Implemented a custom solution for blocking duplicate analytics events being triggered from the app.
• Optimized app stability by resolving core crashes and ANR issues, resulting in a crash-free rate of 99.97% and an ANR-free rate of 99.7%.
• Closely work with Product Managers and Business Analyst to understand the requirements for features and implement them.
• Write Unit Tests using Junit, Mockito with a better coverage.
• Mentoring and guiding colleagues in designing and building features.
• Provide on-call support for production bugs as and when occurred on priority.
• Technology stack : Kotlin, Java, Data Binding, Live Data, Retrofit, Dagger, Hilt, Jetpack libraries like navigation component, AAC ViewModel etc.
