Full stack software engineer, passionate for building elegant solutions to complex problems.
Designed and built Firehound, a simple CRUD interface that provides an abstraction layer over third-party APIs. The service was written in PHP and MySQL, and was later moved to Amazon’s AWS stack. The service was reorganized to use DynamoDB for storage, Redis for caching of user-sessions and SQS for message queuing.
Responsible for building a RESTful API version of Firehound, which included planning, designing and implementing the service. Used Vagrant to spin up the service, Cucumber.JS for integration tests and Stackdriver for monitoring the service’s health.
Designed and developed geo-targeting that allows campaigns to target postal code, cities and regions. The service is written in Node.JS and uses Express for routing. It uses Cucumber.JS for integration tests, and Amazon’s RDS MySQL for database. Search results are cached using APC. Request blobs are stored on S3 for permanent storage.
