1. Content Alignment Using Articles and Their Comments
Align comments to relevant part of article using sentence comment pair alignment modelling
Crawled websites like civis, wikipedia, openreviews.net etc to obtain dataset for training
The main challenge was none to limited annotated data, making training techniques unsupervised and weakly Supervised techniques. Used BERT as the base model.
2. Explaining predictions made by a classifier
Worked on interpretability of models. Built algorithms to visualize *why* a model is predicting what it is predicting
These visualizations to aided in the discovery of patterns in data and explanations at training time
The algorithms were based on perturbation technique, to see how prediction changed when input is perturbed.
