  • As 3GPP RAN1 and RAN4 delegate submitted multiple TDocs and CRs during Re. 8 to Re. 12 LTE standardization.
  • Generated multiple patents and publications by working with international cross functional teams.
  • Developed network and system level simulator (BWSim) to support RAN study and work items.
  • Submitted multiple Spec CRs on small cells and FeICIC during 3GPP Re. 12.
  • Implemented end to end base band DL physical layer transceiver modules.
  • Heterogeneous Networks with Macro, Pico, and Femto Cells : Cellular Network simulator with MeNB deployment is enhanced to accommodate PeNB and HeNBs. Features like PeNB deployment, Pico biased association, subframe blanking as per FeICIC framework are developed.
  • Receiver abstraction mode based on MMIB criterion is developed to abstract system level simulations.
  • Worked on ON/OFF, Load balancing, load shifting schemes for super dense clustered smallcells.
  • Developed a Cellular network level simulator called BWSim in CEWiT with following features :
  • o Hexagonal multi-cell model with distance based path-loss and shadowing modeled.
  • o Throughput, BLER, and Spectral Efficiency CDFs are generated for LTE DL Transmission modes 1 to 9.
  • o AWGN and Fading channel models are supported with low, med, and high correlation.
  • o DL MIMO-OFDMA end to end baseband system with proportional fair, round-robin MAC schedulers.
  • o Link Adaptation, Turbo encoder, codeword to layer mapping, precoding, antenna mapping.
  • o CQI/PMI/RI reporting, Channel estimation, MMSE/MRC/ZF detection, demodulation, Turbo decoder, LLR generation.
