About

Rishi is excited to work on product at Confluent. Prior to Confluent, Rishi helped build a new Cloud offering at Apollo GraphQL and led Product & Data on the executive team at Clockwise. Before that, he was one of the first product leaders at CircleCI as it scaled from 25 people to 500+, Series A to Series E. He was also one of the first employees at Infer (predictive analytics b2b SaaS startup) as they raised a Series B before getting acquired. He graduated from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He worked on the investment team at Lightbank Venture Capital, worked for a few small startups in product & business roles, and spent time at LinkedIn growing a new division. Before business school, Rishi spent several years in management consulting working with large enterprises. He was (and still is!) a data nerd and enjoys talking SQL, Python, and databases. He went to the University of North Carolina. He interned in software engineering, marketing, and private equity. He tried to major in watching college basketball. He started two companies when younger but his two first "real" jobs involved cold-calls and pancakes and resulted in considerably more success. While Rishi still doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up, he does know that writing biographies in the third-person is incredibly awkward.
