About

I am a seasoned Engineering Manager with over 2 decades of overall career comprising 5 years of leadership experience, specializing in delivering high-quality, results-driven solutions with a strong foundation in system validation. My expertise spans over 14 years in the wireline and wireless connectivity industry, focusing on both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation of Bluetooth IPs and SoCs. I excel in Bluetooth system validation, including verifying BT protocols (HCI level), BT Wi-Fi co-existence sub-systems, audio performance, and automation. At Intel, I led the Continuous Integration (CI) Test Infrastructure team within the WCS CNV Bluetooth division. I was responsible for maintaining the quality gate for nightly builds of Bluetooth controllers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality test infrastructure, test content, and execution results. My role involved close collaboration with cross-functional teams including PM, System Engineering, Development, and Validation teams. Key highlights include: Represented the team at several Bluetooth SIG-organized Unplug Festivals (IoT events) in Beijing, Vancouver, Budapest, and Thailand, conducting both BT profile and CAT1 (HCI level) tests. Automation Excellence: Increased automation coverage from 50% to 90%, significantly enhancing test coverage and reducing test cycle times. Certified as an Agile Scrum Master and implemented KANBAN practices for a sustenance project. Implemented Agile methodologies to drive productivity and product quality improvements. Strategic Budget Management: Defined lab budgets and planned equipment needs based on product roadmaps, optimizing the use of test equipment and resources. Developed test plans and specifications based on System Engineering Requirements, maintaining quality gates by tracking and announcing test results for Bluetooth SIG Features and Bluetooth Wi-Fi Co-existence subsystems. Conducted Bluetooth defect analysis and root cause investigations, implemented test solutions, fixed validation escape bugs, and performed extensive testing. Formulated Bluetooth Audio improvement strategies through competitor analysis and IOP test data. With a passion for advancing technology and a proven track record of driving validation activities and process improvements, I am committed to delivering exceptional results and fostering innovation in every project I undertake. • At Intel Mobile Communications, I led BT Firmware validation across multiple programs during both Pre and Post-Silicon phases. My responsibilities included defining test cadences and plans based on the firmware team's commitments to customers. I created ITMs (test specifications) for new Bluetooth features, proposed DCRs, and identified test gaps. I maintained quality gating for Bluetooth firmware customer releases daily, utilizing nightly and weekly regressions.
  • I optimized test quality by analyzing retrospective data and collaborating with cross-functional project teams and validation leads. I directed quality improvements in Bluetooth Firmware validation by reviewing test plans and specifications, prioritizing tests, optimizing parameters, and reducing redundant cases.
  • Moreover, I managed CCB activities, including root cause analysis of customer bugs and retrospective analysis at various SDLC phases, enhancing test coverage for firmware validation. I also led the Bluetooth Audio Quality Improvement Task Force, focusing on verification improvements and identifying gaps in stress scenarios, BT topologies, multi-profile use-cases, and audio quality parameters.
  • In addition, I mentored new team members on validation infrastructure, test practices, defect triaging, and test development.
  • Hands-on, I tested Bluetooth FW features up to BT 5.0, including HCI log and OTA log analysis, JIRA filing, automated test case development, and baseline maintenance. I also conducted testing for BT Wi-Fi Co-ex features, such as real-time signals PTA, NRT, throughput, power KPI parameters, and IOP device testing. Additionally, I performed manual testing of various BT SIG and vendor-specific features and automated test scenarios using in-house tools like Probite, enhancing tool features and managing the lab for high-value assets
