• Built and stabilised media metadata extraction pipelines integrated with the Advertiser Asset Library, enabling accurate metadata availability for 140M+ images and ~9M videos across regions.
• Designed and executed fully automated metadata backfills with adaptive rate control, prioritising live traffic and safely processing hundreds of millions of assets over months without triggering production alarms.
• Designed and implemented an OpenCV-based image file-size reduction pipeline, selected through a data-backed POC on 4,000+ images to balance quality, latency, scalability, and cost, unlocking additional ad placement opportunities for oversized creatives.
• Implemented graph-based dependency resolution for an asynchronous transformation orchestrator, constructing and merging DAGs from job-specific steps with cycle detection, validation, and step deduplication to reduce redundant compute.
• Performed deep cross-layer RCA to fix ad delivery and campaign creation failures caused by hidden metadata precision loss and marketplace scoping mismatches, restoring functionality without risky full backfills.
