I'm an AI Engineer at Akatsuki AI Technologies, which is a subsidiary of Akatsuki Inc., a Japanese gaming and entertainment company. My day to day involves building production AI systems for enterprise clients across pharma, entertainment, and e-commerce. Think competitor intelligence tools that parse CRM data, bilingual chatbots for Japanese casting companies, live streaming platform architectures, and AI powered sensory evaluation tools that pull data from YouTube and niche Japanese platforms. Before this, I was a Google Summer of Code 2025 contributor under the Python Software Foundation, working on CVE Binary Tool. That experience is what really got me deep into open source, and I haven't looked back since. I now mentor open source contributors part time at Newton School of Technology. I like building things that actually ship. Whether it's an AI pipeline that extracts insights from Veeva CRM data for a Japanese pharma company or a full stack UGC video platform with AI avatars, I care more about solving real problems than stacking buzzwords. Building AI products and proof of concepts for Akatsuki's enterprise clients, mostly Japanese companies across pharma, entertainment, and e-commerce.

A competitor intelligence extraction tool for Shionogi & Co. (Japanese pharma) that uses AI to pull and analyze data from Veeva CRM
A casting management chatbot demo with bilingual English/Japanese support for a Japanese casting company
A live streaming platform architecture proposal for a client called BwU, evaluating AWS Elemental, IVS, Mux, and ULIZA
A fishing gear sensory evaluation tool for Globeride/Daiwa that aggregates review data from YouTube and Japanese e-commerce platforms like naturum.co.jp
I also built an internal Claude powered demo builder skill that lets our COO generate Japanese language sales demo web apps autonomously without any engineering help.
Day to day I work across the full stack - Python, TypeScript/Next.js, LLMs, RAG pipelines, deployment, and a lot of bilingual client communication with teams in Tokyo.

AI Engineer Intern

Built MailShieldAI from scratch with a small team during my internship. It's an AI powered email security platform that detects phishing threats in real time using a multi-agent pipeline of 5 specialized workers (Ingest, Intent, Sandbox, Aggregator, Action).
The Intent worker uses LangGraph with Gemini AI to classify emails into 16 threat categories like phishing, BEC fraud, social engineering, malware, and more. Each email gets a risk score from 0 to 100 and is automatically labeled in Gmail as SAFE, CAUTIOUS, or MALICIOUS.
Stack: FastAPI, Next.js, LangGraph, Gemini AI, PostgreSQL, Redis Streams, Google OAuth, Gmail Pub/Sub integration. Deployed with CI/CD via GitHub Actions.
Got converted to full time within a month based on this work.

Google summer of code

Student Developer @ Python Software Foundation

Selected for Google Summer of Code 2025 under the Python Software Foundation to work on CVE Binary Tool, an open source security tool that helps detect known vulnerabilities in software. The tool scans binaries for 400+ vulnerable components and uses data from the National Vulnerability Database, Redhat, OSV, and other sources.
My work focused on improving the reliability and test coverage of the tool. I contributed to the NVD API module testing, worked on VEX (Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange) document tooling, filed and resolved issues around data accuracy, and went through extensive code review cycles with the maintainers.
This experience taught me how large scale open source projects actually work, from async communication with maintainers across timezones to writing code that thousands of people depend on. It's what got me seriously into open source and led to everything that came after.
