1. Developed a specialized debugging tool integrated into Uber's Chronicle platform to reduce the operational workload of support and operations agents. This tool was designed to provide a clear and holistic view of an Eats order's promotion lifecycle, which was previously lacking. This improved visibility helps agents efficiently resolve customer queries related to promotions.
Engineered a new ETL pipeline by updating an existing Apache Flink job to ingest promotion data from new Kafka topics. I added metrics and logs to ensure data sanitation and prevent unexpected downtime.
Developed the frontend in Fusion.js and React, creating an entirely new panel within Chronicle with three sections for Item Level Promotions, Order Level Promotions, and Filtered Promotions. The backend schema and frontend components were explicitly designed with an extensible and scalable design to accommodate future enhancements, such as new types of promotions, with minimal engineering changes.
3. Fixed 2 bugs in the service owned by my team.
4. Developed a panel in Wok - Uber's merchant platform. The panel allowed to view Store Promotions using UUID, which helped in a simpler permission management and better UX.
