About

I like to build things and work with talented people. I have experience running engineering and cross functional teams from small to 2000+ and managing businesses from small to 13B+ a quarter. I enjoy building team's culture (from hiring practices to performance reviews), growing people and supporting them at different stages of their careers (from new to workforce to VPs). Currently I am hiring senior, experienced engineers, PMs, and designers.

  • Building data governance/privacy aware infrastructure that helps companies achieve their goals and protects peoples' personal information. A breach, insider compromise, or commitment/compliance issue are questions of when not if. We work with leading companies to minimize damage and keep customer trust ahead of disasters by using smarter infrastructure. From online systems, to offline systems and data science, to safely managing ML training data and fine tuning LLMs, to cross company data transfers or matching - the key is using infrastructure that doesn't expose raw or sensitive data while still getting job done.

  • Lead for Storage Team in Windows Live Core (www.mesh.com). The project is about building a new data synchronization and application platform spanning desktop and web. My team owns backend services for metadata store, blob store, the directory service and e2e cloud synchronization services.

  • I wrote a JIT compiler for multiple target architectures for project called "Rotor". See the links in the "Additional Info" section. I also was responsible for GC for this effort. My next shipping product (skipping one that didn't ship:) ) was a complete emulator for ARM based mobile devices. I was the sole owner of that v1 product for more than a year - it was started by a friend of mine who left for another job. If you search, the source code was published under shared code license. Next I redesigned MSBuild engine (you can get MSBuild as part of .NET redist or Visual Studio) to support multiprocessor builds. The redesign shipped as part of Visual Studio 2008. Next I took a new challenge working on internet scale software by joining Windows Live Core (Live Mesh).
