  • Cornell+USC collaboration project: Worked on a novel Computational Genomics research to improve a Python module called CAMP. The MetaSUB Core Modular Analysis Pipeline, the CAMP, is a software toolkit designed for dynamic and educational analyses of metagenomes, bacterial isolates, and, in general, all things microbial in an easy and accessible fashion for biologists. This pipeline is a collaboration with USC and Cornell. This research work is specifically on a decontamination module for the CAMP pipeline. We used computational methods to identify contaminants taxas in DNA reads and then we were able to remove them.
