Problem Statement :
Given a graph G(V,E) with edge cost C and k pairs (si , ti) of terminals, the minimum Fractional Steiner Forest Problem seeks to find a minimum cost sub-graph such that there is atleast 1 unit flow between si and ti for all i ∈ [k] = {1,2,…,k}.
The problem was solved based on the concepts of linear programming and approximation algorithm to get a much reduced time complexity. The implementation was done in C language. Steiner Forest Algorithm has applications in road, rail, air networks etc.
