• One of my significant contributions involved revamping both frontend and backend systems to enable real-time user onboarding while ensuring efficient expense analysis. Initially, the process of analyzing around 1,000 expenses consumed approximately 12 minutes. To enhance user experience and expedite this process, I implemented Celery and RabbitMQ to enable horizontal scaling and parallel expense analysis, significantly reducing the analysis time to around 1.5 minutes.
• In response to traffic spikes and the need for efficient document processing during peak periods, I re-architected the setup for AWS Textract APIs. This involved prioritizing critical documents for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and automating the transfer of tax document data to a third-party tax filing service (CCH). This optimization ensured seamless operation during high-demand periods, enhancing the overall user experience.
• As part of my role, I actively participated in the hiring process and onboarded new team members. Additionally, I managed few of them during their initial days, providing guidance and support to facilitate their integration into the company culture.
• I integrated a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, Webengage, with the Mobile App, empowering the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and monitor user behaviour effectively.
• A key highlight of my contributions includes the development of a Recommendation engine from scratch, collaborating closely with the product manager to define initial rules and design parameters. This feature became a cornerstone of our product, enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.
• During tax season, I spearheaded the development of multiple tax-related features, focusing on low-level design that accommodated the evolving nature of these features. This involved ensuring extensibility and scalability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and user needs.

• In the realm of Machine Learning (ML), I established a robust baseline testing framework for the ML team. Prioritizing data privacy, I implemented a combination of symmetric and asymmetric encryption techniques. Additionally, I leveraged multiprocessing to optimize core utilization, ensuring optimal performance across various machine configurations.
• I took ownership of developing and maintaining ongoing reports and internal dashboards, providing critical insights to stakeholders and facilitating data-driven decision-making processes within the organization.
