Aug 2004Jul 2019 · 14 yrs 11 mos

  • Partnered with the SVP of the US Public Sector Sales, and lead a team of 455 engineers and 40 managers. In this position, I have been leading the systems engineers and the technical sales specialists supporting all the US public sector customers. The technical sales teams are responsible for bringing advanced technologies to the market and carry a $2.5B in sales goal in 2018.
  • Responsible for senior level customer and partner interaction and escalation. As the lead technologist for Cisco US Public Sector, I maintained CIO & CTO relationships and became an escalation for those executives when needed. This culminated in achieving a Fed100 award in 2014.
  • During this time, I created Cisco’s public-sector strategy for Cybersecurity and Cloud. Included in that strategy was partner relationships and plans, acquisition targets, a government compliance certification program, and creating a go to market program. The outcome of this strategy included a sustained cybersecurity business of more than $400M growing double digit, and 3 FedRAMP cloud SaaS offers delivered to the Federal agencies and a DoD cloud offering. During this period, revenue grew over $1.5B.
  • Innovation and Organizational change: Over the last 5 years, Cisco has transformed from a primarily hardware product company to a large software company moving to subscription services. Leading this change, I introduced cloud products to market as well as created a sales force for Software and cloud. This lead the company in the understanding of the software life cycle including land, adopt, expand and renew.
