• Implemented new features, telemetry and optimizations for large exabyte-scale, compressed 10x and stored in triplicate) distributed file storage system - COSMOS. • Optimized a process allow fewer ENs (data nodes), undergoing repair, to compete for vacation bandwidth, thereby avoiding latencies caused by replication storms and ensuring efficient data placement by expediting the return of repaired ENs, ensuring that repaired nodes returned to service without latency.
• Worked with the Redmond Team Manager to shadow the deployment process. Observed and contributed to various stages of deployment, enhancing understanding of system configurations, troubleshooting, and release management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in COSMOS architecture as an On-call engineer and Directly Responsible Individual (DRI). Successfully addressed critical issues, including node recovery, and adeptly managed complex outages and client issues, delivering swift resolutions in live production environments.
