Hi, I'm Nilesh. I am a Cloud Computing, Analytics, and Mobility consultant. I am an entrepreneur and help the customers in their technology transformation journey. My first job was that of a software engineer at Hexaware (year 2004) in their PeopleSoft practice. In 2005, I moved to the USA for an onsite assignment where I worked with clients like Citi Bank and Netsuite. At Netsuite, I had my first exposure to cloud computing. Post Hexaware I joined IBM where I played a key role in International Trucks and Engines Digitalisation Journey. After IBM I did my MBA in Marketing from JBIMS (2008-2010). I did my summer internship with Hewlett-Packard where I had created a report on cloud computing adoption for Government Educational institutes. During MBA I started my first company JBDON.com focusing on E-Learning for MBA aspirants and students along with my batch-mate. Unfortunately, we had to shut down the business. Wipro Technology was my first Job post MBA, I joined them as a cloud computing consultant and when it was needed, I decided to become an Implementation Engineer. I was the first person from Wipro to do end to end AWS Implementations. I played a key role in setting up ‘cloud practice’ at Wipro. I was the part of the core team that set up the cloud practice which today is called Integrated Cloud Group. I oversaw the Cloud Centre of Excellence and then moved to London for AWS Implementation for clients like Thames Water and Vodafone. I felt I had learned good enough to start a born in Cloud Computing Startup. And I started my second company Applied Cloud Computing (acc). Initially, I struggled and I also took up a job in Reprise Media as a Technology Director. After acc got its first major client I decided to quit and pursue entrepreneurship full time. I started acc from my home; I was the first and only employee. Then we moved to a small garage. Today acc is a company with 480+ engineers and we work with India’s largest Banks, NBFC’s, Media Houses, and Stock Exchanges. Here are some highlights of my career: • Co-Founder JBDON.com an e-learning Startup. At our peak, we had 1 lac plus subscribers • Founder of Applied Cloud Computing. Company has 400+ engineers and 100+ Clients • Visiting Faculty Big Data and Analytics at Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay since 2016 • Visiting faculty for Big Data at IIM Sirmaur since 2018
