• Primarilly worked as an integrations developer, contributing to open source tools and drivers that interfaced with the core database, such as the Python driver and admin interface. Contributed occasionally to the core database itself, mostly through adding new scalar functions and contributing to the technical documentation of the project. Also worked on the CrateDB cloud platform, helping to architect and build a rolling snapshot/recovery strategy for customers.
• Worked as a member of the sysadmins team, responsible for smooth operations of our internal and customer facing infrastructure. Mostly revolved around Kubernetes, Docker, SaltStack and Terraform.
• Contributed to an early iteration of the Customer and Partner Success team, where I worked with external customer requirements to build proof-of-concept tools using CrateDB, often involving efficient ingestion, enrichment and analysis of large quantitites of machine-generated telemetry data.
• Contributed technical writing in the form of documentation, tutorials and blogposts intended for a wide range of end-user technical ability.
