I have more than 29 years of experience in the Software industry, covering Streaming Content & Studio, Payments, Insurance, Healthcare, Life Science, and High Technology business domains. Presently I am working as a Staff Engineer for Netflix in the Studio Engineering Domain, focusing on Engineering Solutions for Dubbing and Subtitling space. Before Netflix, I was working for the iCloud division at Apple. I started my career as a developer in Legacy as well as Open Systems platforms involving Telephony, Manufacturing, Energy, and Utility space. I was exposed to C, C++, VC++, Java, COBOL, CICS, EasyTrieve, and IBM 390 Assembly language as part of these assignments. Gradually I progressed in the delivery stream with my designation changing from a Software Engineer to a Project Manager, mostly working on JEE platform, managing a peak team size of 20. As a project manager, I was responsible for all aspects of project management involving people, processes, and technology focusing on CMM level 5 compliant deliveries. 17 years back, I changed gears and transitioned into Technical Stream as a Technical Architect. Before my assignment at Netflix, in one of my previous roles, I was also managing and mentoring a team of 10 highly motivated, Technically Strong people assisting them in fulfilling their career aspirations and tracking their progress in delivering assignments. I was also anchoring the Presales track as well as the IP track of our technology group. As an additional responsibility, I was the designated Tools Coordinator of our Department with a group size of 2000+. I did my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from REC Rourkela (a.k.a. NIT Rourkela) with First Class Honors in 1997. I am certified in TOGAF, LOMA 280, and LOMA 290.
