• I focused on web video playback, especially streaming stability, quality, and experimentation. I created tooling, wrote dozens of AB tests, and analyzed results to ensure high quality code was released both to members and partners. I proposed and helped design a video playback workflow that leveraged production teams and code to help the pre/post production teams achieve high quality DRM'd playback. Was instrumental in the migration to a new streaming engine within the browser platform.

• I became more involved in platform efforts which led to the formation of a UI infrastructure team internally. This team helped deliver a real time messaging platform, a logging platform, application metadata API, and a UI component framework for applications.

Nov 2015 – Oct 2018 · 2 yrs 11 mos

• Worked on applications to support the global launch within the Content Engineering organization, now Netflix Studio. Created new and improved workflows and tooling to support the internal engineering efforts.
• I then moved into metadata/hypermedia territory with frame accurate tooling to extract images for use in the core website interface and annotate video data very accurately for use in product cases, such as ads and skip credits.
