Freelance Production Coordinator

  • As a freelance Production Coordinator, I have had the opportunity to work on two significant and content-driven projects currently in post-production: Gandhi by Applause Entertainment and Sundari by Namah Pictures, directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta. On Gandhi, a large-scale historical series, I was primarily responsible for coordinating the UK visa process for key crew members. This role involved close collaboration with international agencies, managing critical documentation, scheduling appointments, and ensuring all legal and logistical requirements were met within strict timelines. It required precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of both production and international travel protocols. On Sundari, a powerful real-life narrative based on a bandit queen, I managed the Daily Production Reports (DPR), maintaining accurate and timely records of shooting progress, resource allocation, and departmental coordination. Additionally, I was in charge of logistical planning and on-ground support for the Director, Producer, Lead Artists, and Heads of Departments, ensuring their movements, schedules, and production needs were seamlessly handled during the shoot. Working closely with creative and technical teams under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments helped me develop a strong eye for detail, adaptability, and problem-solving skills essential to the success of any large-scale production. These experiences have strengthened my ability to manage complex operations while aligning with the creative vision, and they reflect my commitment to delivering excellence in every phase of production.

Production Assistant

  • I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Production Assistant on the Amazon Prime Video series Poacher, collaborating closely with the talented Bombay production team and under the expert guidance of Emmy Award-winning director Richie Mehta. Produced by Alan McAlex, this series tells a true story based on elephant poaching in India, filmed extensively in the ecologically sensitive forests of Kerala. As part of the line production team, I gained valuable hands-on experience coordinating complex logistics and government permissions essential for filming in protected forest locations.
  • My responsibilities included securing permits and clearances from various government bodies, including forest departments and local authorities, ensuring that our shoot complied fully with environmental and legal regulations. I played a key role in managing the logistics of multiple teams, including the drone operators, camera crew, lighting technicians, and the wider production staff. Working in remote forest environments presented unique challenges such as difficult terrain and unpredictable weather, which required meticulous planning and real-time problem solving. I also coordinated with local guides and forest officials to implement stringent safety protocols for the crew and protect the delicate ecosystem. Additionally, I had the privilege to work alongside VFX Supervisor Jateen Thakkar, whose expertise was vital in seamlessly integrating visual effects to enhance the storytelling without compromising the series’ authenticity.
  • This experience strengthened my skills in multi-department coordination, government liaison, and sustainable production management. Being part of the Poacher line production team, alongside the Bombay crew, producer Alan McAlex, and VFX Supervisor Jateen Thakkar, was an invaluable opportunity that deepened my passion for environmentally responsible filmmaking and enhanced my ability to deliver seamless logistical support on challenging projects.

Public Relations Executive

Jun 2019Apr 2021 · 1 yr 10 mos · New Delhi Area, India · On-site

  • Working at a Public Relations agency was my first step into the professional world of communication, and it laid the foundation for everything I’ve learned about effective, respectful, and strategic interaction. It was here that I truly understood the power of communication—not just in crafting the right message, but in delivering it with clarity and confidence. This role taught me how to engage with clients, media professionals, and internal teams in a professional manner, even in high-pressure situations. One of the most transformative aspects of this experience was learning how to communicate without hesitation. Under the mentorship of my boss, Sowmya Ma’am, I gained invaluable insights into professional etiquette, especially in written communication. From writing my very first emails to formatting official correspondence, she guided me with patience and precision, helping me grow more confident in my abilities with every task. Whether it was handling media lists, following up with journalists, drafting press notes, or simply learning how to articulate a point clearly and respectfully, I gradually learned the importance of tone, structure, and purpose in every interaction. More than just a workplace, the agency became a training ground where I overcame my fear of formal communication and developed a strong foundation in public relations. This experience not only taught me the practical skills required in the field, but also instilled in me the confidence to take ownership of my voice and represent a brand or message with conviction.

Graphic Designer

Jun 2017Jun 2018 · 1 yr · Kannur · On-site

  • Working as a Graphic Designer allowed me to deeply explore and express my creative side while contributing meaningfully to brand identities across a range of industries. In this role, I was responsible for developing branding and visual communication strategies for several clients, translating their ideas and visions into impactful, original designs. One of the most rewarding aspects of this experience was the challenge of truly understanding each client's perspective, what their brand stood for, what message they wanted to convey, and how they wished to be perceived. Bridging that understanding into a design that resonated with them was both creatively stimulating and professionally fulfilling. From logo design and brand color palettes to packaging and digital assets, I worked across multiple formats to ensure consistency and innovation. Each project pushed me to think differently, refine my visual language, and balance aesthetics with purpose. It was a significant achievement to create designs that clients adopted as their permanent trademarks, symbols that now represent their brand identities in the market. This experience not only sharpened my technical design skills but also taught me the importance of listening, interpreting feedback, and trusting the creative process. It reinforced my belief that good design isn’t just about visuals, it’s about solving problems, telling stories, and creating lasting impressions.
