  • Worked with the Server Performance Group (SPG). Analyzed the performance of FaaS (Function as a Service) workloads on AMD servers. Used vHive (an open-source FaaS offering from academia) for conducting wide-ranged experiments and analyzing patterns and observations for a set of FaaS functions. Performed scaling studies, across physical cores, virtual CPUs, memory capacities and scalability of the vHive infrastructure. Final outcome involved a paper (under consideration) at GTAAC (Internal conference of AMD), which compared and brought out the observations across two open-source FaaS offerings, vHive and OpenWhisk.
