Spearheaded the migration of the critical Applicant Listing page from SQL to Apache SOLR, reducing latency from an average of 1sec to 300ms, increasing performance of API by 70%. Key responsibilities included:
Designing the schema for SOLR documents and overseeing its implementation on our SOLR server.
Implementing mechanisms to ensure synchronization between SOLR data and the SQL database, including real-time insertion and updating of entries from the application code(Async task).
Developing a scheduler job to sync any lost data from the SQL database to the SOLR document, ensuring data consistency across systems.
Responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and managing many other additional features utilizing primarily Java Spring Boot and Angular technologies.
