• Built a distributed stream processing operator for real-time feature extraction from a streaming
• dataset for a machine learning model.
• For a fraud detection use case, applied Windows in Flink to dynamically enrich streaming Protobuf
• records with only the most recent transactions’ attributes. The temporal threshold, number, datatypes
• of attributes were all configurable.

• Umami, the flavor found in monosodium glutamate (MSG) or ajinomoto, is highly appealing to humans. After bitter, sweet, salty, and sour, it is the fifth basic taste detected by human tongue receptors. However, the dataset on what compounds would lend this flavor is extremely limited.
• We are developing machine learning models to predict and classify peptides as umami and non-umami.
