• Member of inSync storage back-end team.
• Designed and implemented new metadata layout for the Druva file-system. The new layout had a better key-distribution for the underlying distributed key-value store.
• Also, formulated strategy for roll-out of new layout to production downtime and live migration of all existing metadata to new layout. This was achieved without sacrificing recovery-time-objective or recovery-point-objective as defined in service-level agreement.
• The project was executed with iterative approach significant improvements were achieved in the process for rolling out file-system-updates to production. The result was, improved co-ordination between different teams involved (QA, dev-ops, cloud-ops), well defined scopes for unit-testing, integration testing and qualification before deployment to production, minimization of manual steps in operations etc.

• 1. Virtual Volume Metada Layer: Devised a novel approach for metadata management that improves address translation speed, memory footprint, management of on-disk metadata.

• Also, actively participated in performance engineering, debugging, testing and documentation. The development environment is C programming language, Linux operating system on ARM and x86 platform.
