• Google Ads processes millions of assertions every minute to ensure that correct ads are displayed depending on the campaign duration, locale, etc. This amounts to processing hundreds of terabytes of data. To optimise this processing, I built a middle-layer caching system between the processing tool and Google BigTable database to enhance data availability for the local sub-processes. The cache had peculiar requirements about range queries over different versions of the same datapoint, so the backend client was designed specifically for the same purpose. The frontend client used load balancing techniques to improve latency.

• Credit card providers always have a large problem with credit defaulters. Primarily it comes from people who appear decent on file, but through a complex combination of attributes end up at higher risk to be unable to pay back their credit dues. In my project, I:
• created a tool to mine incremental rules for identifying potential credit defaulters using machine learning techniques and past default data.
• updated the machine learning techniques to work specifically with finance data.
• created a probability distribution for the chances of customers being credit defaulters.
• optimised the tool to readjust past rules based on recent data about defaulters.

• Worked as a TA for 8 courses, with 6 at institute wide enrolment. My responsibilities included:
• Teaching a weekly hour long session for classes ranging from 40-120 students.
• Creating tests and evaluating performance
• Assisting students in laboratory work (for the CS courses)
• Organising additional help resources and sessions before final evaluations of the semester.
• The courses include Calculus, Linear Algebra(twice), Differential Equations, Introduction to Computer Programming(twice), Software Systems Lab and Computer Networks Lab.
