Shyam Jeedigunta — CTO
I build Kubernetes for AWS (previously GCP) and helped evolve Amazon EKS architecture over the years to unlock massive availability, durability, scalability and efficiency wins while helping grow new product lines.Few initiatives I drove were Kubernetes container scheduling for AWS Fargate, control plane provisioning and autoscaling, high-speed cluster updates, default encryption for zero-trust environment, next generation distributed database backend for etcd, and enabling some embarrassingly large container clusters for frontier AI/ML and Batch compute customers. Doing these while driving down our business CapEx ($10^9), complexity and operational toil is what helps grey my hair.I also shepherd a few initiatives within the open-source CNCF as a SIG lead and love chasing random systems optimisations whenever I can.
