• Managed a team of 10 students to develop a social chatbot that was used by hundreds of thousands of users via Alexa Devices. We used neural generation for empathetic and informative conversations. We designed our bot was a scalable research platform, allowing our first time team to win 2nd place in the competition.

• I worked with NLP group on Knowledge Base Population (KBP) task. In particular on the participating team for TAC-KBP challenge. KBP involved pipelining many smaller tasks like POS-Tagging, Parsing etc. I analyzed mane places in the pipeline where simple fixes could improve overall performance.

• Working with Prof. Jure Leskovec and Austin Benson, we developed and evaluated new algorithms to count temporal motifs, and analyzed temporal datasets like email, messages, bitcoin transactions etc. using these counting methods to discover interesting insights. This work was published in WSDM 2017.

• Working as a research assistant in SNAP group with Prof. Jure Leskovec and Robert West, my aim was to propose and evaluate methods for introducing useful links in Wikipedia articles. In our first work, people played a game to go from a source article to a target article, and we introduced paths based on analyzing these traces. In our second work, we used passively collected server logs to analyze the most valuable links to add. These works were published in WWW 2015 and WSDM 2016.
