Worked with the STAR team on cognitive vision systems for activity recognition. Proposed a novel attention mechanism based on 3D articulated human poses to focus on relevant body parts involved in actions. Developed a hybrid model combining 3D spatio-temporal ConvNets and an RNN-based attention subnetwork. Introduced a joint training strategy using regularized cross-entropy loss for faster convergence. Achieved state-of-the-art performance on the NTU RGB+D dataset.
