Dr. Yogesh S Rawat is an Associate Professor at the Center for Research in Computer Vision at the University of Central Florida. His current research interests lie in the intersection of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Multimedia Computing. He received his PhD in computer science at School of Computing, National University of Singapore (2012-2017), and obtained his BTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, IIT-BHU, Varanasi in 2009. He received Research Achievement Award for his outstanding research performance at NUS in 2016. He was finalist at ACM Multimedia Grand Challenge in 2014 and 2016. A team lead by him was winner in ActEV Challenge in ActivityNet CVPR 2020 and runners-up in ActEV Challenge for Activity Detection in ActEV Challenge (IARPA DIVA) in TRECVID 2018 and 2019. He won ASAPS challenge organized by NIST in 2020. He organized a tutorial on Capsule Networks in CVPR 2019, workshop in Trustworthy AI in ACM-MM 2021, and organized a challenge on tiny action recognition in CVPR 2021. He served as a workshop chair in IEEE BigMM 2021, Area Chair in ACM-MM (2020, 2021), Area Chair CVPR 2022 and is currently an Associate Editor for Machine Vision and Applications journal and Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology.
