Gaurav Sharma — Co-Founder
Gaurav Sharma is the Head of AI Research at Typeface and is a visiting Assistant Professor at CSE, IIT Kanpur. At Typeface, Gaurav is chartered with driving the company’s multimodal vision and GenAI research explorations, as well as strategic integrations across the partner ecosystem. He is an award-winning research author and widely published at CVPR, ECCV, ICCV and more. Gaurav founded TensorTour Inc., which was acquired by Typeface, integrating their advanced AI algorithms, domain-specific models, and deep expertise in multimedia AI content. Prior to Typeface, Gaurav graduated from IIT Delhi, India, obtained a PhD from INRIA France, and did a Postdoc at MPI Informatics, Germany. He has held senior engineering and research roles at Samsung R&D India, Technicolor R&I France and NEC Labs America.
