I am a Master’s student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UC San Diego, specializing in Machine Learning and Data Science. With a strong foundation in AI, NLP, and deep learning, I am passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve real-world problems in healthcare, genomics, and multimodal learning. Currently, I am a MLE at UCSD Health, where I build and fine-tune deep learning and transformer-based models for genomic classification and clinical text analysis. My work involves leveraging the All of Us dataset and LLMs to enhance predictive performance in healthcare, particularly focusing on opioid addiction prediction. Previously, I worked at Impact Lab (UCSD Psychology Dept.), where I evaluated LLMs and deep learning models for impression prediction and stereotypical understanding using multimodal data (audio, video, text). I also developed 8 web platforms and data pipelines for research experiments, streamlining workflows. Beyond research, I have industry experience as a Data Science Intern at Siemens DISW, where I geocoded 100K+ customer locations, scraped and structured 500+ web pages for business insights, and enhanced a revenue forecasting model’s accuracy by 15%. I have also co-authored research papers on Multilingual Neural Machine Translation for Indic Languages (published in TALLIP, ACM and presented at COLING 2022, ACL).
