• ImagineValley is an online creative ecosystem – an end to end platform for art & creativity, the idea being to bring everyone & everything related to art & creativity onto one single platform: artists/sellers of creative products & services, buyers, workshops, tutorials, events, raw materials sellers and more.
• The online marketplace for handmade and creative products & services in fully operational with artists from all over India. We are also providing a platform for artists to express themselves with our digital magazine, the first version of which was released in December 2015 on the international digital magazine platform magzter.

• Hudooku is a platform to connect people anywhere in the world so that they can exchange insights and experiences quickly and efficiently on any topic. It gives users access to forums from any website on the subject that he or she is looking for and is also available as a mobile app for android and iOS.
• Hired and led the technology team which built the platform from scratch. Service oriented architecture on the cloud with each service scalable separately. Responsive front-end design enabled a smooth desktop & mobile experience and also enabled the team to launch mobile applications quickly. The UX also included a browser button and chrome plugin which allows users to directly access hudooku from any website. The team also built the ExpertRank system which ranks and bubbles up the most qualified users based on their participation and expertise on various topics. The SocialConnect system enabled users to find experts/people within their social circles based on various social networks like FB & LinkedIn.

• Led a senior team that builds the variational experience for shopping on Amazon.*, specifically on the product detail page. The product detail page on Amazon.* is the page with the highest traffic in the world (for e-commerce websites). Variational experience includes the super fast display, discovery and shopping of different variations of a product across all types of categories like clothing, shoes, books, video games and so on.
• Built the new platform for variations on Amazon that is powered by offline computation of huge amounts of data and optimally written front end frameworks to make the real time customer experience super fast.
• Convincing the senior management that the new platform will be significantly better & faster and will solve other pressing issues.
• Re-architecting an important part of an e-commerce website with the highest traffic in the world smoothly and transparently (to customers).
• Involved getting buy-ins (and contributions) from various teams across the globe.
• Deciding which technologies to use, budgeting, acquiring the required resources and planning execution.
• Working with product management across the globe to ensure the customer experience is also enhanced as part of the re-architecture.
• Helped members of my team members to grow to senior positions based on the work done on this new platform.
• The team also built Amazon's next generation universal, responsive, lightning fast product detail pages that work seamlessly across all types of devices. Also led various other teams in the initiative to re-architect product detail pages.

• Led the launch of various new features to help enhance the shopping experience on Amazon.*, mainly related to images, video and variations of a product. Led teams that worked on various architectural initiatives to enable product detail pages on Amazon.* to render faster and launch features without making the pages slower.
• Work involved building and modifying multiple parts of the stack including the front end, web services and backend services and involved touch points with various teams across the globe.
• Feature launches involved measuring and studying business metrics and pivoting and making changes accordingly to make every launch a positive customer experience as indicated by metrics.

• Built an end to end solution (platform as a service) for Digital Signage Networks. A Digital Signage Network includes a group of centrally managed and addressable digital displays that display content to a targeted audience. Outdu makes it possible to bring all these networks into one platform to form a unified market place. The three major components of such a system are the player, distribution network and the web application. Led the design and development of various parts of the product.
• Player: Includes play out of various types of media, managing all services, scheduling various tasks, distribution client, managing play lists and software updates.
• Distribution: Includes delivery of media to required players, peer discovery, handling different quality of service parameters.
• Web Services: Includes work in web layer, business logic and data access. Worked on various modules like creating screen inventory, search, availability, booking and a dynamic pricing and commerce engine. SOA architecture with each service independently scalable.

• My work at Microsoft Research was on Location Search for Text queries, specifically address geocoding (the process of assigning geographic identifiers - coordinates expressed as latitude-longitude, geographic entities - to street addresses) and solving the major problems faced in address geocoding: widely varying address address formats (across countries and even regions), spelling errors in input address, incorrectly ordered or missing terms or extraneous terms in the input and many possible interpretations of erroneous input. The work included data extraction, converting data into required form, working on various underlying algorithms and also coming up with metrics to evaluate the performance of the geocoder.
