• Guavus is a San Mateo, USA based startup, in the Big Data streaming Analytics space, creating (near real time) data insights solutions for the Telecom Industry. These solutions are based on bleeding edge technologies like Hadoop, Spark, MR, columnar databases and in-memory caching.
• Key Achievements:
• Led a team of 20+ engineers to build, deploy and sustain a big data analytics pipeline that hosted multiple Analytics applications solving multiple business use cases, like Roaming Reduction, and deep packet based content analytics, Network Executive reporting, etc. The data pipeline was deployed over 80+ multi-core nodes, and could handle upwards of 80 Billion records per day. It provided for both the analytics dashboards and ad-hoc queries, and offline reporting. The tech stack consisted of Apache Hadoop ecosystem (Apache Hadoop, MR, spark, HIVE), along with custom components for caching, data ingestion, and dash boarding.
• Successfully defined and executed a PoC (Proof of Concept) program for an important OEM partner in the RAN (Radio Access Networks) Analytics space, under stiff timelines and constraints. This POC program spawned off an altogether new product line for Guavus.

• UTStarcom was a Nasdaq listed, telecom equipment manufacturer with global footprint having deployments across many tier 1 operators in Asia, Europe and South America, and R&D centers at India, China and USA.
• Key Achievements:
• Built, developed, sustained and mentored a team of 25+ highly capable engineers (dev, QA, support) working at consistently high motivation in delivering a quality product. The team worked with the ethics of build, own and supports all the modules that it was entrusted with.
• Successfully increased the India center responsibilities (amongst the global R&D units) with some of the most important new modules of the product line.
• Opened up the Netman functionality through API and executed successful application integrations with multiple telecom operators Operations Support Systems. This eventually resulted in a services revenue stream for the product line.
• Active pre-sales technical support (RFP responses, customer presentations, etc.) for the South Asia region, resulting in multiple successful wins for the organization.
• Successfully drove the transition of the Netman system from a C/S C++ based system to a multi-tier distributed component, Java based system.

• Built highly motivated, productive teams always on the path to learning, achieving and exceeding project goals. Mentored a team of 30 young engineers after their formal training (Oasis program).
• Wrote multiple technical proposals which cumulatively won HSS multi-million dollar revenues.
