• Lead design of primary controller PCB (with multiple power supplies and MCU) for a solar and battery combiner device in a team of 3. Responsible for overall PCB architecture, schematics design and providing layout inputs and reviews. Individual contributor for design and schematics of 2 MCU sections (one STM32 MCU and Enphase ASIC). Responsible for board bring-up, testing, debugging of issues and fix implementation for the board. Responsible for overseeing timely material procurement & manufacturing during development & testing phase. Interfaced with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing and quality to ensure a cohesive and quality product. Leading the qualification of second source for hardware components for this product.

• Re-designed controller board of split-phase grid disconnect device for PV and battery systems to move from a wireless to CAN protocol based wired communication and implemented fixes of other known issues. Conducted board bring up, DVT and compliance testing. Debugging and root cause of failures occurred during reliability, system integration and beta testing and fix implementation. Worked on hardware design, schematics, and support for layout design of a 3-phase reusable metering block for flexible usage in future products. Prototyped a test board integrating using this reusable block.

• Performed Controller board DVT and product level thermal testing for 3-phase grid disconnect device for PV and battery systems. Debugged and root caused issued identified during testing. Studied automated metering calibration setup used in factory for gateway device and re-created setup in in-house lab which reduced calibration time from 2 hours to 15 mins. Performed feasibility testing of gateway metering device variant for Philippines market. Qualified alternate Current transformers for gateway metering device for new system requirements.
