I have 25+ years of industry experience including 15+ years with IBM Research and currently with Adobe Research, India for 8+ years. I have experience of heading a research lab of 20+ people for about one year. I have led design and implementation of several research technologies that have been productized. I am currently working on developing machine learning techniques for Document Understanding domain. I have experience of full cycle of product development (from research side) in a distributed development team, including design, architecture, technical lead and development. I also have experience of handling external customer facing role and interfacing with internal business units. I did my ME(Int) from IISc, Bangalore. I was ranked first in my class for all 8 semesters. I have filed 45+ patent applications to USPTO (of which 30+ have been granted) and I have 35+ papers in reputed conferences/journals/workshops. My strength is the ability to understand and convert the business problems into technical problem statements, and having meaningful conversations with all stakeholders. On the research side, I think of myself as a data-driven problem solver. I would like to think that I am good at analyzing data and coming up with interesting insights.
