  • Sigtuple was looking to backward integrate their Retinal Image Analysis with an automated Retinal Imaging system. Sigtuple was exploring working with other companies to acquire technology. They reached out to my earlier venture Intuvision to initially partner with us for the development and once the product is fully built they would acquire the technology. I joined Sigtuple because of my in-depth knowledge of Intuvision Technology and Retinal Imaging space.
  • My roles were to work on developing an Automated Retinal Camera and manage a diverse team to deliver the product at the earliest. Also there was a production license of Intuvision with Truelyser (Sigtuple’s Subsidiary), so I was also responsible to enable the Knowledge transfer to the production team and update documentation for quality compliance. I managed a team of 4 members with 2 software engineers, 1 Mechanical engineer and 1 Optics Engineer. I played a hands on role in the Electronics development and system integration. I also had to interface with other stakeholder like the Production team, Cloud Software team, Image processing/AI team, Product team and Quality team.
  • Key Achievements:
  • Ensured complete transfer of production knowledge and the production team was able to manufacture 7 units each of 2 product variants within a duration of 4 months.
  • Managed a software team to improve the User interface of the software and also integration of the Desktop application Software with the Cloud APIs, and ensure 2 way communication.
  • Built a prototype for the Automated Retinal imaging system and worked closely with the image processing team to provide them necessary video and system data and APIs to control the Hardware.

The founders of the company had the idea of the product concept and I as the Hardware Architect of the product transformed the idea and engineered the product and make it a reality.
  • My role was mainly as a System Integrator with a core competency of Electronics design and Image acquisition. But having to interface closely with the optical, Mechanical, Industrial design and Software teams I have developed deeper understanding in these domains as well, and have become proficient with their design and development methods.
  • I have successfully developed the 3nethra Classic, and setup manufacturing procedures for it and currently is has crossed over 500+ installations globally. Also the follow-on product 3nethra Royal developed by me, which involved a lot of my design efforts also has over 200+ installations.
