• Responsible for expanding the Spotify CDN from one small installation in Stockholm to the global CDN we operate today. I’ve also provided insights into how our controlplane should operate to play nice with the internet while still maximizing our investment in CDN infrastructure.

• Modeling cost of bytes served and TCO in different regions for our CDN
• Interact with other departments such as legal and procurement to secure the necessary contracts to make our CDN a success
• Make sure Spotify is in the right locations around the world and connected to the appropriate Data centers and Internet exchanges both from a quality and cost perspective
• Build relationships with internet service providers and other networks globally to ensure Spotify has the best interconnections possible when serving content to our users

• Proactively reach out to potential peers for interconnections
• Make sure we make data driven decisions
• Drive procurement and planning of data centers, new hardware platforms, Internet exchanges and transit providers
