Ankur began his career in the Indian film industry as an intern with a Mumbai based, Indo-German company called "Bombay Berlin Film Productions" where he worked on various documentaries, films and ads for Discovery (Sweden) and ZDF/Pro7 Galileo (Germany) among others. he worked as an assistant producer for LOEV (2016) which premiered at South by Southwest (SXSW) as an official selection, and also produced previous Columbia University films FOREN (2017), MIZARU (2019) and ANITA (2020) which won the Best Film Award at Columbia University Film Festival, "ANITA" was invited to premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival 2020. Ankur also served as a consultant with National Film Development Corporation of India on film festivals and Film Bazaar (2019) and worked as an assistant director on Bhangra Paa Le (2020), Delhi Crime Season 2 (2022) and Tejas (2023).
