• Volunteered efforts towards the CISE department research project - Physical Activity assessment using Wrist Accelerometer Data - under Prof. Sanjay Ranka. My key contributions included-
• Formulating a novel Bag-of-Words approach of representing wrist accelerometer devices data and coding an N-Grams representation of this data.
• Using features from these representations to evaluate results of common machine learning techniques in predicting the type of physical activity performed by a participant and the energy expenditure involved.

• As part of MACH (Microsoft Academy of College Hires- a highly selective 2-year talent development program within Microsoft), I had the opportunity to move across different roles as well as businesses to explore varied technologies & processes.
• During my first year, I contributed to the Volume Licensing pipeline in the Enterprise Commerce domain. I worked on business-critical applications, ensured high quality and delivered major releases with zero defects.
• Over the next 12 months, I worked in the Work-Life Productivity team which functioned as a startup within Microsoft. The startup-like culture led to adopting agile methodologies and deliver faster releases in short sprints. I worked on building Microsoft's internal crowd-sourcing platform for new ideas. We also developed an enterprise level IoT solution for efficient usage of office spaces using Raspberry Pis and temperature, motion & sound sensors.
• I then moved to the Sales domain and worked on a Customer Planning application to improve seller productivity by helping them in the Account Planning phase of the sales pipeline.

• Implemented a data loss prevention (DLP) system to monitor endpoint devices for use of unknown applications to access sensitive corporate documents. The implemented prototype could intercept malicious file accesses at the driver level, and report DLP incidents to the server.
