• Distance Engine Project:
• This project comprises of the following three projects namely:
• a) Fleet Management:-
• Description: - JDA Fleet Management is a complete solution that manages all of the processes associated with supporting fleet assets. In order to calculate various routes,geocoding etc., it requires Distance Engine that acts as a dataset (plugged in) in the application.
• Responsibilities: - I was responsible for Creating Distance Engine from the source provided by the ESRI in raw form and process it by customizing and adding various attributes so that the application can understand (as input) and produce routing solutions.It enhanced my technical skills by exposure to GIS Technology and Software’s like Arc Catalog, Arc Map.
• b) Transportation Modular/Planner :-
• Description: - Using sophisticated optimization tools and real-world data, JDA Transportation Modeler offers best-in-class modeling capabilities, analyzing the effects of new business, historical performance, peak flows and other variables. .
• Responsibilities: - I was needed to develop Distance Engine that is an address validation/geo-coding engine as well as a distance calculation engine. When called by the optimization engine within a JDA Transportation application, it supports the routing process by validating addresses, finding latitude and longitude of addresses, and calculating distances and transit times between pairs of locations. We use PC Miler data as the source.

• Description: -Planning, executing, monitoring and taking corrective action across the entire transportation lifecycle is critical in today's complex and constrained transportation environment.
• Responsibilities: - I am responsible for managing the Java Web services and other development activities from the Java end.
