• During my internship at the DRDO , I developed and benchmarked advanced deep learning models, including RetinaNet, Faster R-CNN, and YOLOv10, for multi-class object detection on infrared thermal datasets, achieving an mAP@0.5 of 85%. I focused on optimizing these computer vision models using Intel OpenVINO to accelerate CPU-based inference, successfully reducing inference time by 40% without compromising detection accuracy. Additionally, I deployed the highest-performing object detection model on a Raspberry Pi–based drone system, enabling real-time thermal surveillance capabilities for defense applications.
