• My role at HackerRank could be summarized as building, breaking, and holding up stuff.
• I have been responsible for the HackerRank community end of it, and have build core features and services, including working in the site end to end, the AB Test framework etc.

• I worked for a 2 week period and did the following work.
• 1. Added a score graph to the hackerprofile in Hackerrank.
• Worked on : RoR, Backbone.js
• 2. Wrote a Amazon Web Services library for accessing SQS and S3 for the codechecker used.
• Used aws4c library as the base case, but wrote the library in C++ to integrate better with the codechecker written in C++, and to avoid memory leaks.

• I graduated from IIT Kanpur with a Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
• My thesis was on serving online course content in low bandwidth scenarios. This required me to create a web framework, where people could upload lecture video and slide, and various strategies that were created were applied to it. This included off-the-shelf strategies such as resolution downscaling, transcription; and custom strategy that included detecting the video for slides, and replacing it with the actual PDF slide with voice over.
• Here I am involved with few Computer Science related things including
• 1. Departmental Placement Co-ordinator for Computer Science, which involves inviting and interacting with companies that take part in the campus recruitment process. Making sure that the student community stays well informed of everthing happening. I also developed a software for the company tracking at SPO called "trackr" - https://github.com/spowebteam/trackr
• 2. PG Mentor for Programming Club - Mainly related with setting up a really good competitive coding environment within the campus.

• Studied more on Approximate, Randomized algorithms. Did literature survey on Paramaterized Algorithms. Worked along with a theoretical group, which did have a few findings on "Colorful Motifs" problems.
