Aaryan Darad — Software Engineer

As a passionate and curious software engineer, I’m driven by a desire to build scalable tech, learn fast, and stay at the forefront of innovation. I've had the opportunity to work across diverse domains from AI and backend systems to product strategy and data science shaping a well-rounded understanding of how technology solves real-world problems. Most recently, I interned at Atlassian as a Software Engineering Intern, where I contributed to the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant, enhancing and automating key processes used by thousands of enterprise customers. I'm now excited to begin the next chapter of my journey as a Software Development Engineer (SDE-1) at InMobi – Glance, one of India’s most dynamic tech companies. Previously, I’ve explored Data Science at Semusi, Quantitative Research at WorldQuant, and Product Strategy as a Winter Intern at IIM Ahmedabad. During my time at IIT Gandhinagar, I was honored to receive the Batch Medal for Outstanding Leadership, and was one of just two students from my department to receive any Institute Medal. These experiences have fueled my passion not just for building great products, but also for leading strong teams and driving collaboration with ownership and empathy. I've led high-impact initiatives from reviving the Student Leadership Conclave (SLC) to restructuring the Professional Development Council, facilitating mock interviews, and promoting off-campus opportunities. I also served as a Placement Committee (CDS) Executive, and held multiple other positions in the Student Academic Council, college fests, and academic mentoring. I was also honoured with the Scholarship for Excellence in Leadership and Social Work by the institute for my contributions. At the core of everything I do, I believe in building, breaking, and rebuilding to creating things that matter. I’m always looking to grow, in my thinking, my code, and my impact.
