• Railz was a Canada based fully remote, Series A funded fintech startup. Later acquired by
• FIS which is a publicly listed US company, pioneers of fintech since 1968.
• Joined as 3rd engineer. In the initial years worked hands-on building multiple pieces of
• product including core tech of Data syncs, APIs and Sandbox. Later, got promoted to hire
• and lead a team of senior engineers to make Railz more scalable, robust and efficient.
• Tech Stack - NodeJs / NestJs, MongoDB / Mongoose, Redis, MySQL, RabbitMQ,
• Kubernetes, Microservices, Docker, AWS, Datadog, Swagger, and multiple third-party tools.
• Led Project 100x i.e 100 times more scale without performance degradation. We achieved
• a 98% reduction in sync time on the benchmarks (from ~300 mins to ~5.5 mins)
• Architected and led the development of different versions of Railz Sandbox. In version 3
• we reduced data storage by 45% without impacting developer experience.
• Architected, led the team and worked hands-on on multiple critical projects like API
• versioning, Push APIs, Webhooks and more.

• Joined Railz as 3rd engineer before seed round at prototype stage and then built most of the core product and its tech grounds up in the first 1.5 years designing architecture and coding myself. After this, I got promoted to Dir of Engg to lead the core product of API and Integrations engineering and created a lean, efficient and excellent team of Senior Engineers to deliver excellence. Working on many complex problems like 100x scale without performance degradation, developing optimised efficient and maintainable Sandbox environments, API versioning, Cost optimisations and many more.
• Railz is a Fin-tech startup, headquartered in Canada with a fully remote team. Railz has raised a $12 million Series A from top fin-tech VC around the world. Top finance tech conglomerates like FIS use Railz as a trusted innovative tech vendor.
• Railz provides a single API to all major accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.) service providers and enables on-demand access to financial transactions, analytics, insights and reports on Small Business customers. Our solution suits any lender, financial institution, accounting firm, auditor and tech developer that requires financial data on its Small Business customer for the purpose of reviewing a credit application or assessing the financial health of a business.
