  • I managed the discovery, design, delivery, and iteration of a new usage-based billing system through beta and public launches. This billing model to allows customers to autonomously scale their projects on demand, and be billed for the resources they consume. This initiative entailed architecting an end-to-end data pipeline to track customer resource consumption, structuring API endpoints, building trustworthy data transfer models, and outlining database schema and transformations. I also conducted user testing and interviews with beta customers to understand the variety of use cases, pain points, and expectations of a usage-based billing system.
  • I released Teams, a user management feature to streamline project access across groups of users. To release this feature, I collected user feedback to design an intuitive user interface that addresses the needs of both B2B and B2C customers. After the launch, I also tracked customer acquisition, activation, and retention metrics to inform new iterations, aligning with a product-led growth strategy.
  • I standardized provisioning and customer usage tracking by launching an automated provisioning service to save 600+ engineering hours (2.5 months) per year. One component of this product included building a dashboard to report overages and resource upscales, enabling the Sales team to capture undetected revenue and reduce annual COGS.
  • Finally, I set quarterly product roadmaps for Billing, Usage Tracking, and User Management initiatives by evaluating business need, customer value, and engineering feasibility.

  • Designed integration test suite for Azure apps in cloud file system product by more intelligently provisioning resources and minimizing destructiveness, improving runtime of testing suite and resulting in accelerated frequency of test runs
  • Spearheaded creation of CI/CD pipeline for new cloud file system product, conserving 8-10 hours/week spent on manual processes and allowing for more beta customer feedback. CI/CD features included:
  • Programmed automatic upgrades for multiple customer file systems synchronously and without collisions
  • Implemented version control monitoring for automatic build deployments and alerts to streamline environment updates, which eliminated 1-2 hours of wait time between manually generated test runs
